Police are looking for a man in his 30s who had facial hair and arm tattoos and a woman in her 30s who has brown hair and a medium build. Police released a photo of the two people and said investigators were also looking for a pearl white Cadillac CTS or ATS, which are types of luxury sedans.
The shooting happened around 7:55 p.m. in the 1300 block of Chartres, a street that runs parallel to Interstate 69, not far from Discovery Green and other downtown Houston landmarks.
Police said a man who was riding a bicycle south on Chartres was shot after he got into an argument with the people who fled in the Cadillac. The man, who hasn't been named, was found unresponsive in the street and pronounced dead after being taken to a hospital.
Police asked anyone with information about the people or the shooting to called the police department homicide division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
